1800 Cristalino Añejo Tequila is a luxury, crystal-clear aged spirit produced in Jalisco, Mexico. The 1800 brand name honors the historical year tequila was first successfully aged in wood barrels, and the line is produced under the stewardship of Casa Cuervo at the historic Ex-Hacienda Los Camichines distillery (NOM 1122). First introduced to capitalize on the rapidly growing ultra-premium Cristalino category, this expression blends the barrel-aged depth of an Añejo with the brilliant, clear appearance and crisp drinkability of a Blanco.

Spirit Description

1800 Cristalino is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity. The agaves are slow-cooked in traditional masonry brick ovens, extracted using roller mills, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. The spirit undergoes a dual-barrel aging process, maturing for 16 months in a combination of new American and French oak barrels, followed by a 6-month finish in Port wine casks. After aging, the deep amber tequila goes through a proprietary charcoal filtration process that strips out the color while retaining the complex wood-derived flavors and silky mouthfeel.

• Aroma: Rich and inviting, dominated by sweet vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, and honeyed agave, complemented by subtle hints of red fruit, toasted oak, and delicate baking spices.

• Palate: Velvety, soft, and approachable on the entry. Upfront flavors of butterscotch, vanilla bean, and sweet cooked agave blend into roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and a faint hint of berry sweetness from the Port cask finish.

• Body: Medium-to-full-bodied with a round, smooth, and lush mouthfeel.

• Finish: Crisp, clean, and refreshing, with lingering notes of sweet vanilla, soft oak, and mild black pepper warmth.
