Product description
Originating from Australia in the South Eastern Australia wine region, 19 Crimes Sauvignon Blanc represents a crisp, vibrant, and approachable expression of Australian white wine. Inspired by the rebellious history of British convicts banished to Australia in the 18th and 19th centuries, the 19 Crimes brand honors those who breached 19 specific crimes with exile, forging a distinct new culture down under. Sourced from choice vineyard sites across South Eastern Australia, the winemaking philosophy focuses on gentle direct pressing, cold temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and early bottling without oak aging to preserve bright tropical fruit aromatics, crisp acidity, and signature refreshing style.
Wine Description
The wine presents a clear, luminous pale straw colour with bright greenish reflections along the rim. An expressive, fruit-forward bouquet opens with appealing aromas of passion fruit, ripe guava, passionfruit curd, and pink grapefruit, interwoven with fresh notes of lemongrass, green apple, gooseberry, and subtle white peach blossom. On the palate, it is light-to-medium bodied, lively, and crisp, delivering generous flavours of juicy tropical fruit, citrus zest, and green apple, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by a smooth, clean mid-palate and a refreshing finish, it concludes with lingering passion fruit, grapefruit peel, and a subtle herbal lift. Composed primarily of Sauvignon Blanc, it combines tropical fruit generosity with crisp, effortless drinkability.
