Product description
From Canada’s Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, 50th Parallel Estate is a modern winery celebrated for its meticulous vineyard practices and commitment to expressing the unique terroir of Lake Country. Founded by Curtis Krouzel and Sheri-Lee Turner-Krouzel, the estate has built a reputation for producing elegant, fruit-driven wines with a focus on Pinot varieties and sustainable practices.
Wine Description
The 2024 Pinot Gris displays a pale straw hue with glints of silver. On the nose, aromas of mandarin orange, ripe apple, honeysuckle, and orange blossom mingle with delicate notes of golden honey. The palate offers flavours of candied apple and orange peel, balanced by a refreshing citrus backbone and a soft, rounded texture from lees ageing. Medium-bodied and finely balanced, the wine finishes with crisp acidity and subtle creaminess that lingers gracefully.
Food Pairing
This versatile wine pairs beautifully with grilled prawns, pan-seared salmon, soft cheeses such as goat or feta, and lightly spiced dishes like samosas.
