Product description

The United States is the country of origin for this wine, hailing from Oregon in the Willamette Valley region and Chehalem Mountains subregion. Founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim, Adelsheim Vineyard stands as a true pioneer of Oregon winemaking. The winery is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and cool-climate winemaking, aiming to showcase the expressive, high-elevation terroir of its estate vineyards through minimal intervention and precise craftsmanship.

Wine Description

Adelsheim Chardonnay 2019 displays a brilliant pale lemon gold colour in the glass. The intricate bouquet reveals aromas of fresh orchard fruits like green apple and crisp pear, layered with honeysuckle, lemon oil, toasted almond, and subtle flinty minerality. On the medium bodied palate, this 100% Chardonnay delivers sleek elegance and a rounded texture, balanced by vibrant, snappy acidity and delicate sea salt notes through a fresh, persistent finish. Crafted with a commitment to purity and balance, it offers a Burgundian freshness and refined structure. The optimal drinking window spans from present drinking through 2028.

Food Pairing

This bright and expressive Chardonnay pairs wonderfully with pan seared halibut, sautéed garlic shrimp, roasted poultry, or soft cheeses.

A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.

Vintage Quality

The 2019 vintage in the Willamette Valley was a cool, traditional Oregon growing season with late-summer rains that challenged harvest timelines. Thanks to attentive vineyard care and disciplined harvesting decisions, the winemakers successfully captured grapes with brilliant natural acidity, modest alcohol, and intense aromatic clarity.
