Adictivo Extra Añejo Tequila is a luxury spirit from Mexico, specifically produced in the region of El Arenal, Jalisco. The distillery is located in an area known as the 'Gateway to Tequila Country', where volcanic soils provide an ideal environment for agave. Founded by Gildardo Partida in 2016, the brand draws on over a century of family tradition in tequila production. While the legal minimum for the extra añejo category is three years, Adictivo matures its spirit for a full seven years in French white oak barrels to achieve its signature profile.

Spirit Description

This tequila is crafted from 100% pure Blue Weber agave, which is slow cooked in traditional brick ovens before undergoing double distillation.

• Colour: It displays a deep amber hue with distinct reddish highlights.

• Aroma: The nose is rich and complex, featuring sweet fruit aromas combined with caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. Subtle hints of chocolate, baking spices, and honey further enrich the bouquet.

• Palate: It possesses a silky and oily texture with prominent flavours of toffee, maple, and roasted nuts. The palate is notably sweet, offering notes of vanilla candy and butterscotch layered over cooked agave.

• Body: The spirit is full bodied and velvety, often compared to a fine Cognac in its depth and smoothness.

• Finish: It concludes with a long, rich finish characterized by a persistent sweet touch and lingering notes of toasted oak.

• ABV: This extra añejo is bottled at 40%.
