Alfred Gratien Champagne Brut Classique originates from the historic town of Épernay in the Champagne region of France. Established in 1864 by Alfred Gratien, the house has maintained a rigorous tradition of craftsmanship for over 150 years. The winemaking philosophy is defined by a commitment to manual processes, with all first fermentations occurring in small oak barrels to ensure a consistent, elegant style.
Wine Description
This Champagne presents a bright, golden colour with an exceptionally fine and long-lasting mousse. The sensory profile features delicate aromas of peach, apricot, and exotic fruits, complemented by subtle notes of white flowers, biscuits, and pastry. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, displaying a creamy texture and a deep, layered complexity with hints of dried apple and a mineral, saline finish. This non vintage blend is composed of 56% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Meunier, and 20% Pinot Noir, and it is typically aged on its lees for four years before release. The wine has an ABV of 12.5% and a sugar content of 11 g/L.
