Product description

This Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the Frankland River subregion of the Great Southern in Western Australia. Alkoomi was founded in 1971 by pioneers Merv and Judy Lange, who planted their first vines on a fourth generation family farm. Today, the estate remains family owned and operated by their daughter Sandy and husband Rod Hallett, who continue a winemaking philosophy focused on creating elegant wines that authentically reflect their cool climate origin.

Wine Description

The wine presents a vibrant crimson hue with maroon and ruby tones. The aromatic profile is complex, offering notes of cassis, blackcurrant, and leafy blackberry interwoven with nuances of leather, cold tea, and aniseed. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied, delivering a harmonious blend of dark berries, ironstone, and dark chocolate supported by a fine, chalky tannin structure. Matured for fourteen months in new French oak, it displays excellent focus and a refined, silky finish.
