Product description

This structured and 'crystalline' white wine originates from Italy, within the traditional Soave D.O.C. appellation in the Veneto region of Northeastern Italy. Produced by Allegrini, one of Valpolicella’s most historic and revered winemaking dynasties, founded in 1854 and globally renowned for its pioneering focus on single-vineyard Cru expressions. This bottling highlights the estate’s dedication to fresh, terroir-driven white viticulture. Sourced from choice estate parcels planted on rolling volcanic basalt, limestone, and gravelly clay soils across the Soave production zone, the vines thrive under a moderate sub-alpine Mediterranean microclimate. Warm, sun-filled days are balanced by cool evening breezes descending from the Lessini Mountains, allowing native and international white varieties to achieve ideal phenolic maturity while locking in a crisp, mouthwatering natural acidity and vibrant mineral drive.

Wine Description

The Allegrini "Oasi San Giacomo" Soave presents a brilliant, pale straw-gold color in the glass with bright platinum and subtle emerald reflections along the rim. Its sensory profile is exceptionally fresh, high-toned, and aromatic, delivering a vibrant, precise, and expressive portrait of classic Soave terroir. The bouquet opens with a soaring display of elderflower, white peach, pink grapefruit, and yellow apple, seamlessly layered with subtle underlays of honeydew melon, citrus zest, white almond, and a distinct line of crushed stone minerality. On the palate, the wine is light-to-medium-bodied, sleek, and athletic, showcasing a succulent core of crunchy orchard fruit, lemon oil, and salted pear. It is characterized by its outstanding inner energy and an incisive, mouthwatering backbone of natural acidity that cuts cleanly across the mid-palate. The mouthfeel is supple, linear, and weightless, carrying into a dry, refreshing, and mineral-driven finish accented by persistent notes of white flowers, grapefruit peel, and fresh almond.
