From France’s prestigious Bordeaux region, the Alter Ego de Palmer hails from the renowned Margaux appellation on the Left Bank. This distinguished second label of Château Palmer, founded in the 19th century, reflects the same dedication to biodynamic viticulture and meticulous craftsmanship. Under the guidance of the Palmer team, Alter Ego has carved out its own identity, favouring suppleness and aromatic expression over sheer power.
The 2022 vintage offers a deep ruby hue with violet reflections. The nose is expressive, revealing layers of ripe blackberries, cassis, violets, and hints of graphite and baking spices. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied with silky tannins and vibrant acidity, showcasing flavours of dark cherry, plum, cocoa, and cedar. The finish is long and polished, with remarkable freshness and finesse.
