Product description
Domaine Altugnac Les Turitelles Pinot Noir 2024 is an elegant red wine crafted in the Pays d'Oc region within the southern Languedoc-Roussillon territory of France. Established in 1997 by childhood friends and Mâcon co-owners Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier, the estate is now managed alongside their sons, Julien and Pierre-Alexis. The family's winemaking philosophy focuses on utilizing high-elevation terroirs reaching up to 500 metres, where significant day-to-night temperature variations and limestone-centric soils ensure a slow, complete maturation that gives the wine its distinct freshness and regional character.
Wine Description
This 100% Pinot Noir displays a beautiful, light garnet color in the glass. The sensory profile opens with an expressive and perfumed nose of red fruit, showcasing vibrant aromas of Montmorency cherry, raspberry, and blueberry, accented by hints of fine spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and a touch of mocha. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, framing its juicy strawberry and blackcurrant flavours with soft, velvety tannins and a wonderfully dry structure. Driven by a lovely natural freshness and complexity, it flows into a smooth, clean finish that highlights the delicate finesse of the varietal.
