Angel's Envy Rye

Angel's Envy Finished Rye is a premium finished rye whiskey originating from Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. The brand was created by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson; a Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee alongside his family, and operates under the ownership of Bacardi. The historic distillery is situated on Main Street in downtown Louisville, where it crafts innovative finished American whiskeys.

Spirit Description

Angel's Envy Finished Rye is crafted from a mash bill consisting of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. After aging in new charred American oak barrels, the liquid spends up to 18 additional months finishing in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks, which previously held dark rum.

• Colour: Rich, glowing amber with warm copper hues.

• Aroma: Intensely sweet and enticing. The nose opens with a dessert-like bouquet of maple syrup, vanilla, caramel candy, and toasted hazelnut, accented by citrus peel and subtle oak wood spice.

• Palate: Velvety, smooth, and richly layered on the entry. It delivers a seamless fusion of sweet dark rum, maple sugar, and ripe tropical fruits, which interact beautifully against underlying notes of toasted oak, sherry wood, and cracked black pepper.

• Body: Full-bodied with a luxurious, mouth-coating viscosity that softens the traditional edge of high-rye whiskey.

• Finish: Sweet, warm, and lingering, trailing off with lingering notes of maple syrup, sweet rum, soft oak, and a delicate kiss of dry spice.

• ABV: Bottled at 50% (100 Proof).
