Anohka Tempest Dry Gin - 750 ml

Anohka Tempest Dry Gin is produced in Canada, within the region of Alberta and the subregion of Parkland County. The distillery was founded in 2021 by Gurpreet Ranu, a former particle physicist and lawyer who holds a master's degree in brewing and distilling. Operating as a farm to flask facility, the distillery grows its own grain and utilizes unique direct fire heating methods to create complex flavour profiles.

Description

This unfiltered London Dry style gin is handcrafted using 100% Western Canadian wheat and more than ten times the typical amount of botanicals. The botanical blend includes juniper, coriander, angelica, red rose petals, grapefruit peel, lime peel, orris root, Tellicherry black pepper, cardamom, Vietnamese cassia, and bay leaf. It presents a clear appearance that becomes alluringly translucent when chilled or mixed due to the high concentration of aromatic oils. The nose is characterized by resinous juniper, bright citrus, and an intoxicating blend of spices. On the palate, it is sweet and floral with notes of stone fruit and a refreshing botanical freshness, leading to a spicy finish with sustained length.
