Product description

This structured and 'crystalline' white wine originates from Italy, within the Venezia Giulia I.G.T. designation of the premium Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in the country's northeast corner. The historic Attems estate is a cornerstone of Friulian viticulture, with family records documenting land ownership and grape cultivation in Collio dating as far back as 1106. In 2000, the estate entered an exciting modern chapter when it was acquired by the legendary Marchesi Frescobaldi family, who successfully elevated its international profile while preserving local traditions. Operating under a winemaking philosophy that prioritizes purity, energy, and absolute site transparency, the winery uses sustainable viticultural practices to showcase Ribolla Gialla a noble, ancient native variety that has thrived on the region's hillside sandstones and marls since the Roman era.

Wine Description

Attems Ribolla Gialla presents a brilliant, clear straw-yellow appearance in the glass with light, youthful greenish reflections. Its sensory profile is exceptionally fresh, delicate, and high-toned, opening with an airy, floral bouquet of white blossoms, jasmine, and elderflower, beautifully layered with distinct aromas of green apples, fresh pear slices, and lemon oil. On the palate, the wine is light-to-medium-bodied, vibrant, and beautifully focused, showcasing a chiseled core of crisp orchard fruits and refreshing citrus zest. It is characterized by its outstanding, mouthwatering natural acidity and an incisive backbone of flinty, saline minerality. The mouthfeel is sleek and fluid, building a subtle textural depth from light contact sur lies before driving into a clean, bone-dry, and highly persistent finish highlighted by a touch of citrus pith and Mediterranean herbs.
