Product description
This wine originates from Italy, within Tuscany's renowned Montalcino region. Castello Banfi was founded in 1978 by the Mariani family in collaboration with legendary enologist Ezio Rivella, establishing a pioneering estate dedicated to advanced clonal research and sustainable viticulture. The winery's philosophy centers on state-of-the-art winemaking techniques that honor traditional Tuscan heritage, crafting accessible expressions of Sangiovese alongside long-aging Brunello.
Wine Description
This bright ruby red wine opens with intense, fresh aromas of red cherry, plum, and red currant, accompanied by delicate hints of violet, sweet spices, and subtle oak. On the palate, it exhibits a medium to full body with a supple, round mouthfeel, supple tannins, and a vibrant, mouthwatering acidity. The finish is clean, harmonious, and persistent with lingering notes of dark berry and dried herbs. The varietal composition is 100% Sangiovese (locally known as Sangiovese Grosso). It has an alcohol content of 14% ABV and is not certified organic.
