Vigna del Fiore is a unique, single vineyard spanning a narrow valley with shale, marl, and alberese soils. The winery operates under a philosophy that balances long standing local traditions with single vineyard precision, crafting this particular cru since its first bottling in 1981 to showcase an elegant, high-toned nervous system distinct from their classic blend.

Wine Description

This 100% Sangiovese wine possesses an intense and lively ruby red colour. The aromatics are soaring and complex, offering a perfume of pressed rose petals, lavender, and wild mint layered with fragrances of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, red plum, and subtle hints of unsweetened cocoa and iron. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied, presenting an enveloping texture with a vibrant, electric energy and a juicy, tense finish. It displays highly polished yet grippy, well structured tannins and a lively acidity. The persistent finish beautifully recalls flavors of dark plum and liquorice. This vintage offers immense concentration while maintaining a weightless feel, with a magnificent cellaring potential spanning 20 to 60 years.
