Bardstown Bourbon Company is produced in the United States, in the heart of the "Bourbon Capital of the World," Bardstown, Kentucky. Founded in 2014 by Peter Loftin, David Mandell, Daniel Linde, and David Luckett, the distillery has quickly become one of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced operations in the country. It operates as a "Napa Valley-style" destination, combining a state-of-the-art distillery with a transparent, collaborative approach to whiskey-making that includes glass-walled rickhouses and a full-service kitchen and bar.

Spirit Description

The distillery is unique for its ability to produce over 60 different mash bills for both its own brands and collaborative partners. Its portfolio is divided into several distinct series:

• Origin Series: This core line features 100% estate-distilled whiskies. The flagship Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a 6-year-old high-rye expression (36% rye) bottled at 96 proof. It offers aromas of apricot, orange blossom, and mint, with a palate of caramel, nutmeg, and rich oak. The series also includes a Wheated Bottled-in-Bond (100 proof) and a High Wheat Bourbon (106 proof).

• Discovery Series: This series focuses on the "Art of Blending," combining rare, aged whiskies sourced from across the country to create complex, high-proof profiles.

• Collaborative Series: These limited releases feature bourbons finished in unique secondary casks, such as those previously used for beer (e.g., Founders Brewing), wine, or other spirits like Foursquare Rum or Ferrand Cognac.
