Product description
Beni di Batasiolo is a renowned family-owned winery located in the heart of Italy's Piedmont region, specifically in the La Morra commune of the Langhe area. Established in 1978 by the Dogliani family, the winery has grown to encompass over 320 acres of estate vineyards across nine estates. Their philosophy harmoniously blends tradition with modern techniques, ensuring that the quality of their wines reflects the unique characteristics of their terroir.
Wine Description
The 2014 Batasiolo Barolo Brunate is crafted exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the esteemed Brunate vineyard, situated in the southern part of the La Morra commune. The vineyard's compact blue marl soil, interspersed with layers of sand, imparts distinctive qualities to the wine. In the glass, it presents a deep garnet red hue with subtle orange tinges. The nose is greeted with intense aromas of nuts, stewed prunes, roses, and violets, complemented by hints of spice and toast. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with firm tannins and a harmonious structure.
Food Pairing
This Barolo pairs exquisitely with rich dishes such as beef lasagne, meat ravioli, and aged cheeses like Grana Padano. These pairings enhance the wine's depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
