Product description

Birra Moretti L’Autentica is Italy’s most famous export and a symbol of the Italian "art of living." First brewed in 1859 by Luigi Moretti in Udine, its label famously features "Baffo" (the Mustachioed Man), a character Luigi supposedly spotted in a local trattoria and photographed in exchange for a drink. While it has grown into a global brand, L’Autentica remains a faithful representation of a premium Italian Lager—designed to be light, elegant, and the perfect companion to Mediterranean cuisine.

Beer Description

This international pale lager pours a brilliant, translucent maize-gold with a thick, frothy white head and fine, lively carbonation.

Aroma: It features a delicate and welcoming nose. Expect scents of fresh-baked white bread and sweet corn, balanced by a subtle floral and grassy hop aroma. There is a characteristic "cleanliness" to the scent that is hallmark to the style.

Palate: On the tongue, it is light-bodied and remarkably smooth. It leads with a gentle, grainy malt sweetness and a touch of honeyed biscuit. The mouthfeel is crisp and effervescent, finishing with a very mild, rounded bitterness that cleanses the palate without lingering.

Profile: It has an ABV of 4.6% and a low bitterness of 12 IBU, prioritizing refreshment and balance over intensity.

Technical Notes: Brewed using a high-quality blend of hops and a special variety of Italian maize, which contributes to its light body and clear, bright color. It is bottom-fermented at low temperatures and cold-conditioned to ensure the yeast profile remains neutral, allowing the delicate malt flavors to shine.
