Wine Description
La Grande Année 2015 is a distinguished vintage Champagne, meticulously crafted from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The grapes are sourced from 11 crus, predominantly Verzenay, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ for the Pinot Noir, and Chouilly and Avize for the Chardonnay. This composition includes 79% Grand Crus and 21% Premier Crus.
This Champagne presents a luminous golden hue, indicative of its maturity and depth. The nose is rich with aromas of pear, orange oil, and white flowers, complemented by subtle notes of mocha, toasted hazelnuts, and a hint of fino sherry. On the palate, it offers a medium to full-bodied experience, with a dense core of fruit framed by chalky structuring extract, leading to a long, sapid finish.
