Product description

This exceptional red wine hails from the Gevrey-Chambertin region within France's Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1731, Bouchard Pere & Fils is one of Burgundy's oldest and most prestigious estates, maintaining a philosophy centered on expressing the unique nuances of each terroir. The estate manages a small 0.47-hectare parcel in the legendary Clos de Bèze, a vineyard mentioned in historical records as early as 640 AD.

Wine Description

This wine presents a deep ruby colour with a racy and intense nose of currants, raspberries, and cherry stones mixed with subtle toasted oak and spice. On the palate, this 100% Pinot Noir is medium to full bodied, displaying a luxurious texture with flavors of strawberry, sandalwood, and a light marine influence. It is a structured yet elegant wine that effortlessly balances power with a fine-grained tannin profile and a long, expansive finish.

Food Pairing

The wine's robust structure and complex aromatics make it a famous companion for red meats, venison, and game birds like duck or goose. It also pairs exquisitely with full flavoured cheeses, particularly the local Burgundian Époisses.
