Brancaia Il Blu 2021

Brancaia Il Blu is a premier Super Tuscan originating from the Chianti Classico region of Italy. Founded in 1981 by Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer, the estate gained international acclaim almost immediately after its Chianti Classico won a major tasting only two years later. Today, owner and winemaker Barbara Widmer continues the family legacy with a philosophy centered on organic viticulture and a commitment to creating wines that authentically express their unique Tuscan terroir.

Wine Description

This flagship red displays a dense ruby red colour and offers an extremely elegant nose featuring aromas of currant, blackberry, and black cherry, layered with notes of violet, cocoa, and sweet tobacco. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied with a complex sensory profile that includes dark chocolate, licorice, and mineral tension, all supported by a line of firm, creamy tannins and vibrant acidity.
