Brinley Gold Shipwreck Coffee Rum is produced on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts by the St. Kitts Rum Company. The distillery, founded in 1986 by Robert Brinley and later joined by his son Zachary, focuses on using all-natural ingredients to create premium flavored rums. Like others in the collection, the "Shipwreck" name commemorates a historic British troopship that sank off the coast of St. Kitts in 1782.
Spirit Description
This molasses-based rum is aged in oak barrels before being infused with natural Brazilian Arabica coffee beans. It presents a dark amber color and a rich, bold aromatic profile. The nose is characterized by strong roasted coffee bean aromas accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a decadent and syrupy texture with prominent flavors of espresso, butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, and toffee. The finish is smooth and warming, leaving a lingering sweetness of cocoa and roasted coffee. Brinley Gold Shipwreck Coffee is bottled at 36% ABV (72 proof).
