Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced Rum

Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced Rum is produced on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts by the St. Kitts Rum Company. Founded in the early 1990s by Robert and Zachary Brinley, the brand was created with the goal of producing the "best tasting flavoured rums in the world". The "Shipwreck" name is a tribute to a British troopship that sank off the coast of St. Kitts during the Battle of Frigate Bay in 1782.

Spirit Description

This premium spiced rum is molasses-based and uniquely features a base of rum that has been aged for four years in once-charred American oak bourbon and whiskey barrels. It presents a rich amber or light brown hue with a slightly oily texture in the glass. The nose is dominated by butterscotch sweetness and firm vanilla, with inviting notes of cinnamon, toasted oak, and orange rind. On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, delivering a balanced blend of Madagascar vanilla, nutmeg, clove, and a playful burst of orange zest. The finish is medium in length, leaving a sweet and aromatic trail of warm baking spices. Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced is bottled at 36% ABV (72 proof).
