Product description

Introduction

This refreshing white wine hails from the southern Rhône Valley in France, specifically within the expansive Côtes du Rhône appellation. The Brunel family has a rich history as winegrowers in the region dating back to 1670. Their modern legacy began in 1945 when Gaston Brunel acquired Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf du Pape. Today, the family continues to honour their heritage through the 'Brunel de la Gardine' collection, selecting premium grapes from across the Rhône to produce wines that embody authenticity, quality, and a deep respect for the environment.

Wine Description

The Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a classic southern Rhône blend, typically composed of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Viognier, and Bourboulenc. In the glass, it displays a bright, pale yellow colour with brilliant green reflections. The aromatic profile is expressive and floral, featuring notes of white flowers, citrus zest, and ripe peach, often accented by a hint of honeycomb or hazelnut. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and nicely rounded, offering a juicy 'attack' of lemon, pamplemousse, and quince. It is characterized by a silky texture and a vibrant energy, concluding with a fresh, mineral-driven finish and a subtle touch of almond. This wine is designed for immediate enjoyment to preserve its aromatic freshness.
