Product description
Bruno Rocca Barbaresco 'Rabajà' Riserva 2019 originates from Italy, within the Piedmont region and the Barbaresco DOCG subregion. Sourced from the estate's oldest vines (planted in the 1950s) within the legendary Rabajà cru, this bottling represents the pinnacle of the Bruno Rocca portfolio. Produced only in exceptional vintages, the Riserva undergoes extended oak aging—spending 24 to 36 months maturing in large French oak casks followed by additional bottle aging prior to release—to achieve extraordinary structural depth, longevity, and site expressiveness.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a deep, brilliant ruby-garnet colour. The nose is remarkably complex and captivating, delivering layered aromas of dark plum, wild raspberry, pomegranate, and blood orange, accompanied by notes of pipe tobacco, graphite, ashy minerals, dried roses, and subtle cedar spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tightly wound, showing remarkable focus, tension, and power. A core of red fruit and mineral salinity is framed by vibrant, crystalline acidity and firm, fine-meshed, dusty tannins. Stylistically, this standout 2019 Riserva offers extraordinary drive, structure, and length, built for decades of aging.
