Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay region of Scotland. Founded in 1881 near Port Askaig, the Bunnahabhain distillery is currently owned by the Distell Group Limited, a subsidiary of Heineken N.V.. The distillery is renowned for its unpeated, robust, and complex philosophy, utilizing mineral-rich spring water from the Margadale spring to craft a spirit that is significantly milder than its peaty Islay neighbours.

Whisky Description

This expression presents a rich mahogany gold colour, reflecting its exclusive maturation in the finest hand-selected ex-sherry oak casks. The fragrant aroma is a complex tapestry of dried fruit, honeyed nuts, toffee, and a slight hint of spice, underscored by a subtle leathery quality. On the palate, the whisky is dense and oily, delivering a balanced profile of mellow sherried nuts, dark chocolate, and nutmeg, perked up by a distinctive coastal saltiness.
