Product description
Everyday Lager is Cabin Brewing Company’s intentional step back from complex flavor wheels and resinous hop profiles. Marketed with the cheeky tagline "craft beer without the craft beer attitude," this American-style Lager was added to the Calgary brewery's lineup as the ultimate antidote to palate fatigue. While Cabin is legendary for its dense, fruit-forward haze bombs, Everyday Lager is built entirely for simplicity and approachable execution. It is unpretentious, highly refreshing, and designed to be the beer you reach for whether you are sitting on a lakeside dock or cleaning out your garage.
Beer Description
Everyday Lager pours an exceptionally pale, brilliant straw-yellow with crystal clarity and a lively, fast-moving carbonation that supports a clean, crisp white head.
Aroma: The nose is minimalist, clean, and gently grainy. It leads with dominant notes of sweet biscuit and pale malted barley, followed by a very faint, nostalgic hint of brewer's yeast. There are no heavy fruit esters or intense hop aromas; it smells exactly like a traditional, well-crafted cellar beer.
Palate: On the tongue, it is light-bodied and incredibly refreshing with a snappy, effervescent mouthfeel. It leads with a mild bready sweetness, which is quickly balanced by a subtle, clean note of lemon citrus on the back end. The bitterness is kept remarkably low, allowing the flavor to vanish quickly from the tongue, leaving a dry, crisp finish.
Profile: It sits at a highly crushable 4.4% ABV and a gentle bitterness of 17 IBU, keeping things light and endlessly drinkable at just 121 calories per can.
Technical Notes: Unlike industrial macro-lagers that rely heavily on rice or corn to cut production costs, Cabin executes this with craft precision using high-quality pale malts and traditional lager yeast. It undergoes a standard cold-fermentation and patient lagering process to completely clean up any rough edges. The result is a highly attenuated, light lager that retains just enough cracker-like malt structure to satisfy a craft enthusiast while remaining entirely accessible to everyone.
