Cabin Brewing Sunshine Rain IPA - 20 Litre Keg

Sunshine Rain is the quintessential West Coast IPA from Calgary’s Cabin Brewing Company. It was crafted to strike the perfect balance between the bold, aromatic hop profiles of the Pacific Northwest and a clean, refreshing drinkability. The name reflects the duality of the style, bright, sunny citrus notes paired with a crisp, refreshing rain of bitterness. It has become a staple for hop lovers who appreciate a modern take on a classic style that emphasizes aroma and clarity.

Beer Description

This West Coast IPA pours a brilliant, clear golden-straw color with a fluffy, persistent white head and excellent lacy retention.

Aroma: It features a vibrant and punchy nose led by distinct notes of zesty grapefruit, resinous pine, and a medley of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango.

Palate: The flavor is crisp and assertive. A light, crackery malt base provides just enough support for waves of citrus and dank hop character. It finishes bone-dry with a firm, lingering bitterness that is clean rather than astringent.

Profile: It has an ABV of 6.7% and a moderate-to-high bitterness, staying true to its West Coast roots while remaining remarkably refreshing.

Technical Notes: Brewed with a focused selection of premium base malts to ensure a light body. It is heavily hopped with classic varieties specifically Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic to achieve its complex layering of fruit, citrus, and pine.
