Product description
Hailing from Italy, Campagnola Valpolicella Classico Ripasso is a beautiful expression of the historic Veneto region. The Giuseppe Campagnola winery is a celebrated family-run estate that has been cultivating a passion for winemaking across five generations, passing down an enduring love for their land. Their winemaking philosophy centers on harmony and a deep connection to regional tradition, sourcing grapes from select hillside vineyards in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone.
Wine Description
This rich red blend is meticulously crafted from 80% Corvina and Corvinone alongside 20% Rondinella grapes. In the glass, it reveals an intense ruby red colour with delicate violet reflections. The aromatic profile is complex and inviting, leading with notes of ripe strawberries, mulberries, and a touch of jam, beautifully complemented by undertones of ground spices, dried flowers, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine shows remarkable freshness and concentration, driving a juicy texture framed by crunchy tannins and a racy acidity.
Accolades
James Suckling - 91 points.
Food Pairing
The structural depth and balanced acidity of this Ripasso make it an exceptional partner for savory dishes. It pairs wonderfully with roasted or grilled meats, hearty autumn risottos, and medium to long-aged cheeses.
