Product description
This structured and 'exuberantly aromatic' white wine originates from Italy, within the mountainous Alto Adige D.O.C. (Südtirol) appellation of the northern Trentino-Alto Adige region. Cantina Tramin (Kellerei Tramin) a highly celebrated grower cooperative established in 1889 in the alpine village of Tramin (Termeno) is universally revered as the spiritual global benchmark for Gewürztraminer. In fact, the village of Tramin is the historic namesake birthright birthplace of the variety itself ("Traminer aromatico"). Under the visionary direction of long-time master winemaker Willi Stürz, the estate operates under a winemaking philosophy that marries intense mountain power with laser-focused alpine elegance, transforming a variety known for being heavy or unctuous into a masterclass of structural transparency and balance.
Wine Description
The Cantina Tramin Gewürztraminer presents a brilliant, intense straw-yellow color in the glass adorned with golden reflections. Its sensory profile is exceptionally expressive, perfumed, and high-toned, unfolding a signature, high-definition bouquet of freshly cut red roses, lychee, and ripe tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit, beautifully layered with fragrant underlays of sweet cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and a touch of wild honey. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied, weighty, and texturally rich, showcasing a luxurious and fleshy core of yellow orchard fruits and citrus zest.
