Product description
Carpineto's Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a distinguished Tuscan red wine crafted exclusively from estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The name "Farnito" is derived from "Farna," a type of oak tree native to the area surrounding the vineyards.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Ruby red with subtle orange reflections.
- Aroma: Clean and intense, featuring complex hints of spices, licorice, vanilla, and cherries.
- Palate: Full-bodied and rich, with persistent flavors and an elegant tannin structure.
Vinification
Fermentation occurs in separate tanks for each vineyard's grapes, with controlled temperature maceration on the skins for 10-15 days at 25-29°C (77-84°F). After malolactic fermentation, the separate crus are blended and aged in small oak barrels for an extended period.

- Wine Enthusiast: 91 points. Notes of tar, graphite, dark berries, and herbs on the nose, with a juicy palate featuring berries, camphor, grill smoke, and peppery astringency.
