Cascahuin Special Edition 55-25 Anejo Tequila

Cascahuín Special Edition 55-25 is a rare, limited-edition commemorative tequila released by the Cascahuín Distillery (NOM 1123) to celebrate its 70th anniversary. Located in El Arenal, Jalisco—known as the 'Gateway to Tequila Country'—this family-owned distillery is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Rosales family. The distillery's name, meaning 'mountain of light', reflects its deep connection to the local geography and its commitment to traditional, artisanal winemaking philosophies.

Tequila Description

This añejo tequila presents a deep amber colour with bright mahogany hues. The aromatic profile is elegant and complex, featuring cooked agave layered with dried fruits, raisins, and almonds, alongside delicate sherry sweetness and stone fruit. On the palate, it is silky and structured, offering rich flavours of caramel, toasted nuts, dark chocolate, and soft oak, balanced by a hint of black pepper and the distillery's signature earthy minerality. The finish is long and elegant, leaving lingering notes of sweet agave and warm wood. Aged for approximately 12 months, this 44% ABV expression is a unique blend of 90% tequila matured in ex-sherry casks and 10% Cascahuín 48 Añejo.
