Castello Bonomi Franciacorta CruPerdu Brut Millesimato 2019 is a sparkling wine from the Franciacorta DOCG region in Lombardy, Italy. This vintage is crafted from a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir grapes, reflecting the estate's dedication to producing high-quality Franciacorta wines.

Winemaking Process
The grapes are harvested from vineyards located on the slopes of Monte Orfano, at approximately 275 meters above sea level. After a gentle pressing, the first fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation follows the traditional Metodo Classico, with the wine maturing on its lees for over 36 months, enhancing its complexity and depth.
Historical Context
The name "CruPerdu," meaning "lost vineyard," originates from a discovery in the summer of 1986 when Castello Bonomi's Chef de Cave, Luigi Bersini, found vine plants hidden among ivy and wild shrubs. This lost vineyard inspired the name of this exceptional cuvée.

For optimal enjoyment, serve at a temperature of 6-8°C (43-46°F). This versatile Franciacorta pairs well with shellfish, lean fish, mild and soft cheeses, and works beautifully as an aperitif.
