Cazadores Cristalino Tequila

Cazadores Cristalino Tequila is a premium clear aged spirit produced in Arandas, within the Highlands (Los Altos) region of Jalisco, Mexico. Crafted at the historic Tequila Cazadores distillery (NOM 1128), founded in 1922 by Don José María Bañuelos, the brand is famous for its iconic stag logo symbolizing the search for the perfect agave. Cazadores Cristalino represents a modern evolution of their traditional lineup, taking fully aged tequila and charcoal-filtering it to produce an expression with the rich, complex wood notes of an Añejo and the pristine clarity and crisp agave brightness of a Blanco.

Spirit Description

Cazadores Cristalino begins with 100% Blue Weber agaves harvested in the mineral-rich soils of Los Altos. The agaves are slow-cooked in small stainless steel autoclaves, crushed, and fermented in a seven-day open-air process accompanied by classical music to encourage yeast activity. Following double distillation in copper pot stills, the spirit is aged in virgin American oak barrels for over two years, reaching full Añejo maturity. Master Distiller Jesus Susunaga then passes the aged liquid through a specialized activated carbon filtration process. This removes the amber color and harsh wood tannins while locking in the smooth vanilla, caramel, and oak flavors integrated during maturation.

• Colour: Luminous, crystal clear with brilliant silver highlights and slow, elegant legs.

• Aroma: Inviting and sweet, opening with cooked agave, fresh vanilla bean, and toasted oak, followed by green apple, sweet citrus peel, toasted almonds, and subtle floral undertones.

• Palate: Exceptionally smooth, silky, and balanced on the entry. Upfront flavors of sweet roasted agave, creamy vanilla, and butterscotch give way to toasted coconut, subtle citrus zest, light black pepper spice, and a gentle wood warmth.

• Body: Medium-to-full-bodied with a soft, velvety, and rounded mouthfeel.

• Finish: Clean, crisp, and medium-long, trailing off with lingering sweet vanilla, gentle oak spice, and a refreshing mineral dryness.

• ABV: Bottled at 40% ABV (80 Proof).
