Product description
This prestigious wine originates from France, specifically the Rhône Valley and the celebrated subregion of Chateauneuf du Pape. M. Chapoutier, with roots dating back to 1808, is one of the Rhône Valley’s oldest companies. The family motto, 'Fac et Spera'—'do and hope'—encapsulates the patience and care the art of winemaking demands.
Wine Description
The 'La Bernardine' exhibits an intense crimson red colour. The nose is complex and subtle, opening with aromas of blackcurrant and plum, followed by notes of roasted coffee, cinnamon, and cherry. The wine is a blend of the region's classic Southern Rhône varietals, predominantly Grenache Noir, with smaller proportions of Mourvèdre and Syrah. On the palate, it is full bodied, concentrated, and opens into spicy (often liquorice) and fruity characters. It is described as succulent, well balanced, and structured.
