The 2022 Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon presents a beautifully dark, opaque garnet-purple appearance with concentrated violet shades at the rim. Its sensory profile is exceptionally deep, complex, and expressive, opening with a bold, high-toned bouquet of crème de cassis, black cherries, and ripe plum preserves, seamlessly layered with fragrant notes of mountain sage, lead pencil shavings, sappy spring flowers, and aged tobacco leaf. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated, and texturally rich, showcasing a luxurious, mouth-coating core of black currant compote, dark chocolate, and roasted espresso bean.
