Product description

France – Rhône Valley, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Château de Beaucastel is one of the most iconic estates in the Southern Rhône, owned by the Perrin family since 1909. The property is renowned for its dedication to organic and biodynamic viticulture, its respect for tradition, and its masterful blending of all permitted grape varieties of the appellation. The estate’s white wine comes from a small seven-hectare vineyard, making it a rare and highly sought-after expression of the terroir.

Wine Description
The 2023 vintage is composed of approximately eighty percent Roussanne with the balance made up of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picardan and Piquepoul. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, settled, and fermented for eight months, with thirty percent aged in oak barrels and the remainder in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The resulting wine shows a bright golden colour and an intensely aromatic bouquet of ripe pear, white flowers, almond, honey, subtle spice, and hints of fresh thyme. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with a seamless, supple texture, lifted by a fine saline freshness and an elegant finish that lingers with notes of orchard fruit and citrus oil.
