Product description

France, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Château de Beaucastel is one of the most iconic estates in the Rhône Valley, owned and managed by the Perrin family, who are known for their dedication to organic viticulture and traditional winemaking. The estate’s vineyards include a unique three-hectare plot of Roussanne vines aged between 65 and 100 years, producing one of the most sought-after white wines in France. Their philosophy is rooted in expressing the full character of each vintage while respecting the balance of the environment, resulting in wines of depth, elegance, and remarkable longevity.

Wine Description
The 2023 vintage reveals an intense, bright golden colour. The nose offers a complex medley of aromas including honey, apricot, stewed peach, and quince, complemented by citrus notes that bring freshness, along with hints of linden blossom and subtle herbal accents. The palate is generous and silky, displaying layers of honeyed quince, ripe orchard fruit, citrus zest, frangipane, and beeswax, all underscored by a sleek salinity. Full-bodied yet impeccably balanced, it finishes with remarkable length and elegance. Crafted without malolactic fermentation, this wine is aged equally in new and once-used oak barrels, enhancing its texture and structure.

Accolades
James Suckling – 98 points.
Vinous – 95 points.
