Chateau des Annereaux Lalande de Pomerol is a red wine from the Lalande de Pomerol appellation in the Libournais region of Bordeaux, France. The Hessel family has owned this historic estate since the 14th century, with the descendants of the original Annereau family farming the land without interruption for over six centuries. The winemaking philosophy is rooted in organic farming, a practice the estate has employed since 2007, and a commitment to preserving the heritage of its 25 hectare vineyard.

Wine Description

This wine exhibits an elegant and aromatic profile typical of its cool vintage. The sensory profile features intense notes of leather, spice, and chocolate on the nose, accompanied by black fruits, clove, and black pepper. On the palate, it is opulent and lush with a creamy texture and silky tannins that lead to a lingering, spicy finish. The varietal composition is a blend of 88% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and a small portion of Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a stylistic focus on freshness and balance rather than dense concentration.
