Product description
This sparkling wine comes from France, inside the renowned Bordeaux region and the specific subregion of Blaye. The story of the estate began in 1919 when a sailor from Brittany discovered the exceptional terroir of Blaye and abandoned his maritime career to plant the first vines. Today, the family vineyard spans 20 hectares and is managed by Ludivine and Vincent L'Amouller, who operate entirely under certified organic farming practices to protect environmental biodiversity.
Wine Description
This Crémant de Bordeaux presents a beautiful pale profile defined by fine, delicate bubbles. The nose offers an expressive bouquet of bright, fresh fruits, leading into a palate that is notably vibrant, tonic, and beautifully structured with a touch of pepperiness. It features a medium body balanced by a crisp mineral tension and an incredibly refreshing, clean finish. The wine is a varietal expression crafted from 100% Semillon grapes grown on clay limestone soils. Reflecting the winemaking philosophy of the estate, it is fully certified organic and vinified naturally with minimal intervention. The alcohol by volume for this bottling sits at 12.0%.
Food Pairing
The lively acidity and crisp texture of this sparkling wine make it highly versatile for food pairings. It serves as an excellent option for spontaneous before dinner drinks among friends. Structurally, it beautifully balances rich seafood platters, fresh fish, and cured appetizers. It is also an ideal companion for mature, well aged cheeses and lightly spiced dishes that benefit from a burst of palate cleansing freshness.
