Product description
Originating from France in the Bordeaux region and prestigious Pauillac subregion, Chateau Haut Bages Liberal is a Fifth Growth estate with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Under the visionary ownership of Claire Villars-Lurton, the estate has become a pioneer in sustainable viticulture, featuring fully certified organic and biodynamic farming. The vineyard's unique terroir, composed of deep gravel over limestone, plays a vital role in imparting exceptional elegance, minerality, and structural purity to the winemaking philosophy.
Wine Description
Chateau Haut Bages Liberal presents a striking, deep ruby-purple colour with vibrant rim reflections. On the nose, it releases expressively complex aromas of cassis, dark berries, and red plum lifted by floral violets, graphite, pencil shavings, and subtle tobacco hints. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, suave, and fleshy, displaying remarkable energy balanced by chalky, powdery tannins and a lively core of mineral acidity. Aged across French oak barrels, concrete ovals, and terracotta amphorae, this vintage achieves an exquisite balance of freshness, tension, and depth, leading to a long, precise finish.
