Product description
Owned by Juliette Becot of the renowned Saint-Émilion Becot family, Chateau Joanin Becot is a rising star in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. The estate focuses on sustainable vineyard practices and meticulous winemaking, aiming to produce wines that express the finesse and identity of the terroir. With deep family roots in Bordeaux, the estate benefits from top-tier expertise and a dedication to quality.
This 2022 vintage displays a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. On the nose, it opens with expressive aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, violets, and hints of sweet spice and graphite. The palate is supple yet structured, showcasing velvety tannins wrapped around juicy black fruit, dark chocolate, and a touch of licorice. Medium to full-bodied with a fresh core and a long, polished finish, the wine reflects its limestone-clay terroir with clarity and poise.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb chops, mushroom risotto, or aged cheddar. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
