Product description

From France’s Bordeaux region, in the renowned appellation of Saint-Émilion, Château La Chapelle Canterane has been under the stewardship of the Trabut-Cussac family for nearly four centuries. Nestled in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, the estate benefits from sun-drenched clay-limestone slopes, producing wines of character and elegance. The winery is dedicated to traditional viticulture with selective harvesting and meticulous care from vine to bottle.

Wine Description
This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru presents a deep garnet hue with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers expressive aromas of ripe blackberries, blackcurrant, and plum, complemented by subtle hints of cedar, violet, and spice. The palate is round and well-structured, with supple tannins supporting flavours of dark fruit, cocoa, and a touch of minerality. Medium to full-bodied, the wine carries a long, harmonious finish. Crafted primarily from Merlot, with a balance of Cabernet Franc, it combines richness with freshness and finesse.

Food Pairing
Pair this wine with classic French fare such as côte de bœuf, tournedos with truffle butter, or wild boar with mushrooms. It also complements rich pasta dishes like foie gras tagliatelle or aged cheeses. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
