Château La Conseillante, founded in the 18th century, is considered one of the jewels of the Pomerol plateau. Owned by the Nicolas family since 1871, the estate is celebrated for its precision, elegance, and consistently refined expression of Merlot blended with Cabernet Franc. Under the direction of winemaker Marielle Cazaux, the château continues to honour tradition while embracing innovation.
Wine Description
The 2022 vintage presents a deep, garnet-purple colour with radiant intensity. Aromas of black raspberries, mulberries, violets, rose petals, and subtle notes of mint and truffle rise from the glass, layered with hints of blackcurrant and crushed stones. The palate is full-bodied and velvet-textured, revealing concentrated flavours of blueberries, plums, Morello cherries, and summer berries. Balanced acidity, refined tannins, and a saline, perfumed finish create a wine that is both sensual and precise. This is an intellectual and harmonious Pomerol that combines depth with finesse.
