From the storied vineyards of France, in the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, Château La Gaffelière is a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate with deep roots in the region. Owned by the Malet Roquefort family for over three centuries, the property’s commitment to expressing its unique limestone and clay terroir is at the core of its winemaking philosophy. The estate sits at the foot of the slope leading up to the famous town of Saint-Émilion, drawing fruit from some of the most revered plots in the area.
This 2022 vintage presents a radiant deep ruby colour. On the nose, it is aromatic and precise, offering layers of black cherry, cassis, violets, and hints of graphite and cedar. The palate is refined yet powerful, displaying a full-bodied structure with silky tannins and remarkable freshness. Notes of plum, mocha, and crushed stones unfold through a long, mineral-driven finish.
