Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2003 is a Premier Grand Cru Classé from the Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, France. As one of the original five First Growths established in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the estate is renowned for its pursuit of elegance and quiet excellence. Wine Description

This 2003 vintage is characterized by a dense ruby and purple colour that extends to the rim. The nose is luxurious and aromatic, offering a bouquet of cedarwood, lead pencil shavings, white chocolate, cocoa, and cassis, accented by high-toned notes of coconut and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, rich, and opulent with a fat, unctuous texture and relatively low acidity. Its structure is defined by soft, velvety tannins that provide a rounded mouthfeel and lead into a long, persistent finish. The varietal composition is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. While it is currently in its plateau of maturity, this noble wine is expected to hold its peak quality for another 20 to 25 years.
