Product description

Château Lafite Rothschild 2013 originates from France, within the Bordeaux region and the Pauillac AOC subregion. As one of the five First Growth (Premier Grand Cru Classé) estates from the historic 1855 Classification, Lafite Rothschild is renowned globally for producing Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines of unmatched elegance, balance, and aging potential. The 2013 vintage posed significant challenges across Bordeaux due to a cool spring and wet harvesting conditions, prompting rigorous sorting and a higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon to maintain the estate's signature finesse and structure.

Wine Description

This red wine displays a translucent, dark ruby colour with garnet reflections at the rim. The nose is refined and subtle, opening with aromas of fresh red currant, dark cherry, and cassis, intertwined with signature Pauillac notes of cedar wood, graphite, pencil shavings, tobacco leaf, and crushed violets. On the palate, it exhibits a light-to-medium body with a streamlined, precise texture, supported by delicate, fine-grained tannins and bright, lively acidity. Stylistically, the 2013 vintage favors classic restraint, transparency, and balance over power, offering a mid-weight, linear finish marked by persistent red fruit, cedar, and mineral salinity.
