Product description

Chateau Leoville Las Cases 2010 originates from France, within the Bordeaux region and the Saint-Julien subregion. Classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru Classé) in the historic 1855 Classification, the estate represents the largest portion of the original, historic Léoville estate. Managed by the Delon family, the vineyard sits adjacent to Château Latour, directly overlooking the Gironde estuary. Known as one of Bordeaux's premier "Super Seconds," Léoville Las Cases produces deeply structured, exceptionally long-lived wines that regularly match the quality of First Growths.

Wine Description

This red wine displays an opaque purple to deep garnet colour. The nose offers intense, layered aromas of blackcurrant, crème de cassis, dark plum, and fresh blackberries, complemented by subtle nuances of cedar wood, tobacco leaf, graphite, incense, and black truffle. On the palate, it is full-bodied, dense, and powerfully built, supported by silky yet firm, fine-grained tannins and bright, balancing acidity. Stylistically, the 2010 vintage represents a monumental, classical Las Cases—muscular, precise, and mineral-driven, finishing with remarkable length and exceptional cellaring potential.
