More Information
Product description
Chateau Leoville Las Cases hails from France, specifically the Saint Julien appellation within the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region. As one of the oldest and most prestigious estates in the Medoc, the winery's philosophy focuses on expressing its exceptional terroir, which sits directly adjacent to First Growth powerhouse Chateau Latour.
Wine Description
This vintage presents a very deep, saturated purple-black colour with violet flashes around the rim. On the nose, it explodes with complex, multi-layered aromas of crème de cassis, wild black cherries, fresh tobacco, iris flowers, and graphite. The palate displays massive power and concentration, yet delivers an incredible, flawless polish. A classic 'iron fist in a velvet glove', the wine is medium to full-bodied, structured around fine-grained, silt-like tannins and a vibrant, mineral freshness that culminates in an epically long finish.

Food Pairing
The profound structure and intense dark fruit of this Left Bank blend call for rich, savory dishes such as pan-seared duck breast with a cassis reduction, slow-roasted rack of lamb with rosemary, or a prime cut of dry-aged ribeye steak.
