Product description
Château Livran, located in Saint Germain d’Esteuil within the Médoc, has roots dating back to 1280. Once owned by the Goth family, whose legacy includes Bertrand de Goth—later Pope Clement V—the estate carries a rich heritage. In 2013, it was revitalized under the stewardship of Olivier Michon and Edwige Lurton-Michon, combining historical depth with modern winemaking vision.
Wine Description
This 2016 vintage presents a deep ruby hue with a vibrant, reflective clarity. The bouquet is complex, revealing blackcurrant, black cherry, fig, and subtle spice. On the palate, it shows impressive concentration with flavours of raspberry, mulberry, cassis, and crunchy black fruits. Well-integrated tannins support a structured body, leading into a long, fresh finish with nuances of mint, clove, and tobacco. The wine is balanced, expressive, and built for cellaring.
